Cindy
Cindy graduated from Acadia University in May 1982 with a Bachelor of Secretarial Administration and worked in the secretarial and accounting fields in Halifax and Grand Falls-Windsor for six years. In September 1988, she began her teaching career at the College of the North Atlantic. She left the college in 1999 when her husband's practice was starting to expand and now works full time as comptroller and office manager. She continues to upgrade her skills in dental administration, accounting and various software programs.
Cindy has been an active member of the community volunteering with many organizations. She has been involved with the school system since 1992 serving in various positions on parents' associations and school councils.
In addition to travelling for work and pleasure, Cindy enjoys relaxing at the cabin, scrapbooking, cooking and snowmobiling. She has recently found a new love for riding on the back of a Harley motorcycle. When time allows, she can usually be found at the "Y." She and Craig have two children.
Donna
Donna was born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor. She started her healthcare career in 1980 as a licensed practical nurse at the CNRHCC. In 1994, she returned to Cabot College for a refresher course in LPN and moved to the Carmelite House to work. In 1999, she continued her education taking business courses at both Corona and CONA colleges.
She joined the staff of the Family Dental Office in March 2000. In addition to her receptionist duties, Donna processes all of our MCP claims. Donna's smile and pleasing personality helps put our patients at ease the moment they walk through our door.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys salmon fishing, gardening and reading. She and her husband, Bill, recently celebrated a 25th anniversary. They have one daughter.
Shelley
Shelley moved to Grand Falls-Windsor from Manitoba in 2005 bringing with her 12 years experience in the dental field. She started in the banking industry and in 1990 began her career as a dental receptionist.
When she & her husband decided to move to Newfoundland, she searched the internet for a community in which to live. Grand Falls-Windsor really appealed to her and we are glad it did. In addition to her receptionist duties, Shelley processes most of our insurance claims.
Shelley enjoys watching movies, reading, fishing and camping. Shelley and her husband Des, a native Newfoundlander, have three children and two grandchildren.
Cathy
Cathy joined our staff in the fall of 2010. A native of Botwood, she commutes from there to work every day. Cathy worked for over 20 years in the service industry before returning to school in 2006 to complete her diploma in Office Administration (medical).
Cathy has two grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, sewing, walking and snowmobiling.
Joan
Joan has over 30 years in the dental field serving both as a dental assistant and receptionist. She joined our staff in February 2000 when we opened our Springdale office. Her efficiency and knowledge of the dental industry makes her extremely valuable to the successful running of our satellite clinic.
When she is not working with us, Joan can usually be found on her vegetable farm or selling her veggies on the road. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, cross-stitching, and ski-dooing. She and her husband, Lorne, have one son and two grandchildren.
Paula
Paula is a hometown girl, born in Grand Falls-Windsor. After high school, Paula completed both her Clerk-typist and Word Processing Operator diplomas from the College of the North Atlantic. Paula has great experience in customer relations with over 20 years working in the service and sales industries. Paula runs our hygiene system and is responsible for booking your regular recall appointments.
Paula and her husband, Myron, have one child. In her free time, she enjoys camping, snowmobiling and boating.
